Housed in an historic building, Chef Harald Bresselschmidt opened Aubergine Restaurant in 1996 and has gathered a loyal following from within South Africa and internationally. Aubergine’s cuisine is based on a classical foundation with influences from the East and the West evident in many creations. An emphasis is placed on lightness and balance to create a sophisticated blend of flavours and textures to excite the senses and pique curiosity. The atmosphere is best described as warm and elegant. Dinner is served year round with a choice of a la carte dishes or tasting menus and lunch is served in the Summer months.
